MDF West Africa Limited (MDF WA) is a management consultancy and training firm operating in the West African region. MDF WA was registered to commence business in Ghana in 2009 as Management for Development Foundation West Africa Limited. MDF WA enables projects and programmes, professionals, organisations, partnerships and networks to achieve sustainable results and results that matter for a better world.

MDF WA has been supporting, incubating and accelerating innovative and inclusive (green) (youth-led and female-led) businesses in sectors related to agriculture value chain, renewable energy and water. The company strongly believes in promoting entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial thinking and innovation towards sustainable and inclusive development.

MDF WA is one of the country offices of the over-arching institution known as MDF. The West Africa office set up Centre for Enterprise Learning as their corporate social responsibility entity.

The ‘Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ Gmbh’ is a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work. They are dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world and have over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas. Their main commissioning party is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development is the German Ministry responsible for funding development projects all over the world. They employ around 1230 staff at their two offices in Bonn and Berlin.

DevelopPPP is a project of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. With develoPPP, they promote private sector activities where entrepreneurial opportunities and development policy potential meet. Companies that want to invest sustainably in a developing and emerging country and expand their local operations can receive financial and technical support under the programme.

The Ghana Innovation Hub was set up by a consortium of BlueSpace Africa, the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) and MDF West Africa, under the eTransform program of the Ministry of Communications. The GIH focusses on the power of businesses and the power of technology to improve business operation. They work to improve the quality and availability of support services and access to finance in the Ghanaian ecosystem. The hub offers physical working space, as well as business development services, investment matchmaking and ecosystem support.

CERATH Development Organization is a developmental organization focused on rural and urban poor development in Africa. CDO has five main intervention areas for empowerment- Agriculture, Fisheries, Renewable Energy, Inclusive Finance and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) as the pathways to rural and urban development. Their vision is to improve living conditions for the rural and urban poor in Ghana and Africa. They operate in Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Kenya.

RICCE is a right-base and development organization established to contribute to the empowerment or rural communities, particularly women and girls, through integrated programs. They envision a community of hope and social justice where all people live in harmony with nature.

Conservation Alliance (CA), is a not-for-profit, non-governmental environmental organization. CA brings together the people and skills needed to build Africa’s capacity to conserve biodiversity through sound science, local initiatives and good governance. CA aims at assisting fringe communities in Africa in creating economic opportunities that result in improved wildlife and habitat management, and wealthier healthier communities.
